Grande Soir is a name that's been used more than once for Girardi's collection this year. Their tights version is astounding, but the hold ups use the basic design to an even more dazzling effect. The bone-white filigree is exceptionally sharp and contrastic when placed on the very edge of the hold ups' lace. The jet black opaque leg makes for an even more visually stunning effect and this alone puts Girardi's designs, any of them, forward as the best evening wear accessories around. Grande Soir does mean, after all, "wonderful evening". Girardi are always obsessively careful to make a product that fulfils its purpose expertly, so the name is no mere accident.
